Random event of the day:

Stopped by a McD's on the way to work this AM to grab some coffee. While I was waiting for my cup, I heard some familiar notes coming over the restaurant speakers. Yep. Tennessee Jed in all it's glory being played at a McDonald's in Scottsdale, AZ. I looked around at the other patrons and wondered if any of them knew what the hell was being played. I smiled that little "I love the Dead and I'm better than you" smile and went off to start my day.

OK, back to business...

That is a surprise; pleasant one too, as opposed to the scalding you might have rec'd given the nuclear reactor temperature of your beverage if spilled...? Can't recall if they ever got that biz sorted--as one that always wants HOT coffee, I was conflicted.

About the infamous coffee incident- If I recall correctly, the thermostat was broken. I think the lawsuit was because the restaurant knew it was faulty and hadn't fixed/replaced it.

I was thinking that as one who'd be happy with any warm feeling in that region, you'd....

Wow, and we've bottomed out :) already. Gonna be a good day.

Dire would have walked out! I was in Nordstrom last month and I heard the "#1 in Turlock" line from Bobby before Truckin came on. I was surprised they would play live dead until I realized I accidentally hit the play button on my cell phone in my pocket. What a maroon I am.

As I was waiting in the return line at the Seattle REI I hear a catchy tune floating through the air, its Bertha. So I start rocking back and forth with that "in the strangest of places" smile on my face, looking around to see if anyone is getting ready to call the heat on me for smiling on a cloudy day.

REI is a great test kitchen for gear. If it isn't just exactly perfect it goes back.
